Canadian born and based, Paul Hardy took his career from design school graduate to personal shopper to acclaimed designer. Paul Hardy began his design career in 2002 with an opening show at Toronto Fashion Week where his first collection saw a host of rave reviews. After seeing that first collection, fashion icon Jeanne Beker, host of Fashion Television and now editor of FQ Magazine, compared Hardy’s talent as being that of the likes of Marc Jacobs or Stella McCartney. Along side presenting his collections at numerous International fashion weeks and trade shows, in 2007 Hardy opened his first free-standing store. Paul Hardy Atelier is located in the trendy Kensington neighborhood of Calgary, Canada. This location provides a unique outlet for Hardy’s creative design skills. Hardy recently branded his knitwear line under the label Paul Hardy Kaille. Kaille (pronounced ‘Kai’) is a chameleon line of novelty knits and essentials that adapt to the personality and needs of the wearer. The word Kaille, originates from an Irish dialect meaning ‘homespun cloth’. The name was inspired by its production roots in Ireland and Scotland. The Kaille philosophy promotes a holistic lifestyle that is fashionable, sophisticated and serves to be both functional and practical for modern living. In addition to refining his skills and growing his company Paul devotes his time to World Vision as a spokesperson for their HOPE initiative campaign. In January of 2008 Hardy made a humanitarian trip separate of World Vision to Uganda. The journey to Africa profoundly changed his viewpoint on life and his career in fashion.

About Breeyn McCarneyAfter studying visual art York University, fashion designer Breeyn McCarney realized her zeal was related to garments, not canvas. She launched her signature collection in 2001, selling pieces directly to wardrobe stylists. Breeyn soon moved to London, England for three years to refine her techniques; studying textiles and tailoring at Tower Hamlets College and Central Saint Martins College; where she earned her City & Guilds Tailoring Certificate. While in London, Breeyn worked for clothing and accessory designer Shirley Geek and was selected as one of six up-and-coming designers for Puma International’s acclaimed White Project. Upon returning to Canada in 2004, Breeyn continued her education with ancillary tech courses at Ryerson University and focused on further developing the Breeyn McCarney label into a 100% natural fibre fabrics luxury line, applying couture sewing techniques, hand-beading and leather-crafting to create luxurious pieces. Environmentally and politically motivated, Breeyn divides her time between reaching the goal of operating her company with zero environmental impact and her recently launched, budget-friendly label, AnotherWordForPink - a fun, girly, streetwear version of her signature line.
