Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels Fashion Design Competition. After a rigorous six-month design competition, an inspiring runway show sets the stage to unveil four talented finalists as they compete for an ELLE Canada prize package valued at over $25,000.

Brazilian-inspired swimwear go up against avant-garde apparel in a ground-breaking event packed with fashion insiders. Charismatic emcee Anne-Marie Mediwake (Co-Anchor, the News Hour at 6, Global News) and noteworthy competition judges Nathalie Atkinson (Fashion Journalist, National Post), Kim D’Eon (Entertainment Reporter, ET Canada), David Dixon (Designer, David Dixon Inc.), Teresa Isabella (Design Director, Bluenotes), Peter Papapetrou (Stylist & TV Host, Renovate My Wardrobe) and Rita Silvan (Editor-In-Chief, ELLE Canada) deliberate live at the gala to decide the winner.

Romanian designer Catalin Botezatu showcased his collection, "Famous, Rich and Snob", at Couture Fashion Week at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on February 13, 2009. This was Mr. Botezatu's second appearance at the bi-annual event. The collection is inspired from the way of being of the women in 2009.

One of Romania's top designers, Catalin Botezatu www.catalinbotezatu.ro began to work as a fashion designer in 1992 and established his own fashion house in 1996. He is one of the few major fashion designers who directs and styles his own shows and makes all his accessories (jewelry, shoes, and hats). His distinguished clientele includes politicians, socialites, VIPs, entertainers and celebrities.
